The CACHE: Introduction to Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults course is a foundational qualification designed to raise awareness of safeguarding principles and practices in both child and adult care contexts. Aligned with UK legislation and professional standards, this course develops the knowledge needed to protect those at risk from harm, abuse, or exploitation.

Through this course, learners will explore the legal responsibilities of safeguarding under UK law, including the Children Act, Care Act, and Human Rights legislation. Emphasis is placed on understanding personal and professional roles, recognising different types of abuse, and learning how to respond appropriately when concerns arise. Key topics include physical, emotional, sexual abuse, neglect, exploitation, and institutional harm.
