This course is tailored for intermediate English learners aiming to improve their spoken and listening communication at CEFR levels B1 to B2. Aligned with the Trinity Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE), it provides focused training on the skills and strategies needed to perform successfully in both formal assessments and everyday conversation. The programme emphasises clarity, fluency, and interactive language use, helping students become confident English speakers in academic, social, and professional contexts.

Students begin by understanding their current CEFR level and the specific demands of Trinity's GESE exam format for Grades 5 to 7. Through structured lessons, they will develop their ability to describe experiences, express opinions, discuss future plans, and participate in topic-based discussions covering a range of familiar themes. The course reinforces functional language skills needed for polite interaction, such as making suggestions, asking for clarification, and offering feedback—key to both the exam and real-life situations.

Equally important is the listening component, where learners practise identifying main ideas, detailed information, and speaker attitudes in a variety of audio materials. Emphasis is placed on improving active listening techniques and responding appropriately during conversations.
