The ESOL Entry 2: Building Confidence in Speaking & Listening course is tailored for learners who already have a basic understanding of English and want to further develop their ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The programme provides structured practice in speaking and listening through real-life scenarios, such as shopping, making appointments, talking on the phone, or interacting with others in community and workplace settings.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to introduce themselves, engage in simple conversations, ask and answer questions, give opinions, and listen for important information such as names, dates, and instructions. Lessons are practical and interactive, featuring role-plays, short talks, group discussions, and paired speaking tasks to boost fluency and build self-assurance.

As the course progresses, learners will gain the skills necessary to confidently participate in group interactions, give feedback, and communicate appropriately in a range of everyday environments. Listening activities include public announcements, conversations, and instructions to help students improve their comprehension in real-world situations. By the end of the course, students will be more confident in expressing themselves and understanding others in spoken English.
